Coping Strategies
April 2004

Who: Susan Lasky Meyer, MA,
business/personal coach/organizer

why: Is any aspect of our lives safe from the long arm
of ADD? The fight to clear an hour, or clear a
closet -- or clear up a misunderstanding -- keeps
us busy indeed. For some ADD adults, though,
recognition has been a step toward redemption:
a hard-won working knowledge of how to play up
strengths instead of limitations.

Thursday's interactive, ask-the-coach workshop
will review some of the contentious areas -- goal-
setting, prioritization, time management, space
management, peer interaction -- and suggest
potential angles of attack.

As a coach, organizer, and support-group
leader, Susan Lasky Meyer has helped
individuals with ADD, chronic disorganization,
and related issues since 1989. In 1990, she
co-founded CHADD (Children and Adults with
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) of
New York City. Currently, Meyer is affiliated
with The ADD Resource Center, which has
offices in NYC and Westchester County.
