Coping Strategies

February 2004 Mary Solanto-Gardner, PhD,
 Clinical and research psychologist; director,
AD/HD Center, Mount Sinai Medical Center

Why: Though patterns vary, ADD adults often find that impulsivity and distractedness translate into a less-than-efficient use of time. The consequences of which can be felt at work, at home, and elsewhere. ADDers ask: how do I set priorities? How do I then stay the course? Are there tricks which can help me snatch what moments I can from the demands of the world -- or from my own propensity to wander?

These were tackled by Dr. Solanto.
